At 25m high, Lembayung waterfall is hardly spectacular but it more than make up for it by its beauty. Water flowing from the stream above, drops vertically down the hard rocks and hitting a step before landing on plunge pool below. The water landing on the much softer rock below the band of hard rock creates a small cave behind the waterfall. This well hidden waterfall in the forest is clean and pristine.

The peaceful serenity of the waterfall and its surroundings belie what is happening outside it. The route to the waterfall involves a ride through logging areas where active logging is still taking place. Trucks with its overhead exhaust discharge thick fumes as it carries the timbers from where the great trees had fallen. The starting point of the trek is in an oil palm plantation. From there, it is another forty-five minutes of trekking on old logging trails and small jungle paths before reaching the waterfall. The trek is easy without any technical sections.

Once you reached the waterfall, its large deep pool beckons you to jump straight into it. The beautiful waterfall is a playground for those who like to swim and play in the water. Any good swimmer can swim right through the waterfall and into cave behind it. But, as you enjoy the water, be mindful that the water hides the buffalo leech. It is probably the biggest leech in Peninsula Malaysia measuring15cm in length and 1.5cm in diameter at its base.

The secluded location of the waterfall meant that a guide is needed to bring you there. Not many people have been to this waterfall and there are very few information on it. One way to visit this waterfall is by going through Tasek Bera Resort. The drive from the resort to the starting point of the trek is about an hour twenty minutes. As this is an easy trek and takes up only half a day, it is worth visiting if you are already staying at Tasek Bera Resort.
